"Lora Reynolds is pleased to announce an exhibition of new work by Richard Forster and Ewan Gibbs. This is Forster's first presentation at Lora Reynolds Gallery and Gibbs's fourth. The show is made up of graphite drawings on paper.
British artists Richard Forster and Ewan Gibbs met after both being included in Drawn from Photography, an exhibition at the Drawing Center (New York) in 2011. Although each artist was unaware of the other’s work before that exhibition, they have since forged a friendship based on a mutual respect for and interest in the translation of photographs into drawings.
This show, Richard Forster and Ewan Gibbs, brings together two independent bodies of work that were conceived, researched, and executed separately over the last year." - Lora Reynolds Gallery

Liverspots Comics + Hikes CD Release Party

I first heard Hikes at East Side Island where it was just two guys shredding while a Vinyl ambient music played in the background. I went to see them at WXWC where they had a full band and are some of the most talented musicians and best performers I have seen here in Austin. Thier show is a must see this Friday at Wardenclyffe.

Liverspots is "funny styled drawings" presented in ink, on paper, by comedy visionaries Gillian Rhodes, Conner Shea, Tyler Suder, and many neglected friends.

If a Garage Band, a Painter, and a Junkyard Worker Had a Baby It Would Be Wardenclyffe

http://www.facebook.com/events/471110666275878/?group_id=0

This Tuesday Wardenclyffe art gallery and other local art collectives are hosting an all day SXSW showcase. If you have never been to Wardenclyffe this place will assault you on all senses. This place has everything you could want from overt sexual references that is almost comical in the art, to the land of the lost kids holding tall-boys and smoking cigarettes, and the garage rock music on a homemade stage surrounded by a fence of oddities. This artistic wonderland is an open to the public freak-show where everyone is friendly and no one will feel out-of-place. Make sure to check it out early, there will be 4 free kegs that will go very quick!
